Samsung unveils 12 megapixel phone
On Monday, world’s largest electronic company, Samsung Electronics, unveiled the world’s first cellphone model with a 12 megapixel camera! Yes, you heard it right! That; 12MP, higher resolution than most digital cameras!
The sale of the latest product from the South Korean company Samsung Electronics is bound to hurt the camera industry badly. Arch rival Nokia, also the world’s top cellphone maker, claims that it is also the largest digicam maker in the world.
The new, Pixon12 model from Samsung is expected to go on sale in Europe later this month. This poses a severe threat for another rival, the struggling Sony Ericsson, who has been touting a 12 megapixel model since February but will only come out with its product in the fourth quarter later this year.
The new phone has a Xenon flash and features a touch auto-focus tracking. It features a fast-image saving feature that lets users take the next photo within about two seconds.
